Release notes for May 24, 2012
Your invoice is now “in the mail”
In this case, the phrase “in the mail” is a positive thing. Starting with your next billing cycle (billing cycles are different customer-by-customer based on when you signed up for an Ifbyphone account), you will receive your monthly invoice as an email (as usual) with an attached PDF (all new!). While this seems like a “little thing,” we are excited about this enhancement because it comes directly from customer feedback. So, enjoy the new invoice, thank you for the past comments, and keep the ideas coming!
Best Practices for Voice Notifications
Voice notifications are one of the best ways to alert customers of appointments, changes to scheduled events, and even to gauge customer satisfaction. To do these things effectively, voice notifications should be interactive, two-way communications. Using Ifbyphone, you can easily add interactive components to all your notifications. In fact, adding interaction is a best practice.
This month, we are enhancing our SurVo-based broadcast capability by adding another best practice – the ability for your customers to opt-out of interactive voice notifications. Just like an email marketing program, voice notifications can be an important part of your marketing mix. And, just like email marketing, occasionally your customers would rather not receive a voice or email message. Opt-out gives both you and your customers the flexibility to build your marketing programs for mutual advantage.
- When enabled, recipients can opt-out of an interactive voice notification by simply pressing * on their keypad. When scheduling future notifications, Ifbyphone will prompt you to remove those numbers on your list that have previously opted-out.
If you ever have questions, you can always contact Customer Success.
