Trackable Telephone Numbers For Franchise Direct Mail

John Jorgenson’s article Automate Your Marketing and Track the Results in the May 2010 issue of Franchising World offers a number of suggestions for how franchises, and really any business, can strategically assemble different marketing channels to create a synergistic effect. Here’s the paragraph that really caught my attention:

There is no reason with today’s technology not to be able to track every piece of marketing and advertising that is launched. This trend is holding a lot of people accountable. No longer can the creative team blame poor results on non-trackable pieces. Even direct mail can be tracked using personalized URLs, trackable phone numbers or by having people express interest to text message campaigns.
