Find Me

The term “find me,” sometimes referred to as “follow me,” is a useful feature offered by various providers. The “find me” feature allows a person to reach you wherever you are by forwarding your calls to a list of numbers chosen by you, until you are reached. In the event you are not reached, “find me” will transfer the caller to a voice mailbox and prompt them to leave a message. If the caller chooses to leave you a voice message, you will able to retrieve that message via phone or e-mail.

How does “find me” work?

Imagine you are calling your friend, Tami, who is using the Ifbyphone service. Ifbyphone offers the “find-me” feature, which allows calls to her to be forwarded to another number or numbers, depending on where she is at the moment. For example, if Tami is leaving her house to run some errands, she may forward her calls to her mobile phone.
